A friend of mine wrote an article on the best London pubs, at Life Experiences and I thought that I'd take a quest to find my own top 5.
This might not be five, but it was the highlight of the trip and my favorite London pub.
To enter you'll need to slip down a small back street. On the wall is an olde sign revealing how old the pub really is. It was rebuilt after the great fire of London in 1666.
Once inside it's a labyrinth of corridors and rooms. Each holding its own character and style. Even the floor has history as it's covered in sawdust. Which was previously used to soak up the blood from bar fights. Though this kind of event is long gone, the sawdust tradition remains.
As it's a pub I had to try the drink and it is of a high standard. With a wide selection of ales and Sam Smith lager this location is a must for any history fans that like a pint or two.
