Appreciate Yangon's Colonial Architecture
Nobody would argue that British colonialism was benign. However, Yangon's array of magnificent (if crumbling) buildings are testament to the key role played by Myanmar's largest city in the British Empire. Although some of the buildings are in a fairly sorry state, most remain evocative reminders of the city's heritage. Highlights include the General Post Office, Customs House and the former Police Commissioners Building.
