Yachts and Cruise Ships
As Germany's largest and the second-busiest port in Europe (after Rotterdam), Hamburg’s bustling waterfront easily justifies its nickname as the country's Gateway to the World. Spanning some 74 square kilometers (28 square miles), the port is not only a popular destination for passenger cruise ships traveling through Europe, the Atlantic and beyond, but also a major location for shipbuilders and shipyards—which includes those that design, build and recondition yachts and cruise liners—hence you’ll spy an incredible array of ships.
