Bike the Italian Riviera
Cinque Terre may get all the glory when the topic of the Riviera is brought up but I think the lesser-known Sanremo is delightful in its own way. Because it's a town that stretches for such a great distance along the Mediterranean and has wonderful converted rail tracks—I think the best way to take it all in is by riding a bike. Tree lined boulevards go through the residential areas, past glitzy hotels, right by the Yacht Club and all along the sparkling Mediterranean Ocean. If it's too hot, there's always a breeze from the ocean to cool you off or the chilled tunnels that the converted path goes through!
