Don’t be put off by knowing that this museum is dedicated to showing how the working class has lived over the past 150 or so years. It’s a surprisingly excellent place for a family visit. A warren of corridors and staircases is great fun for kids to explore. You’ll turn one corner and find a 1950s living room (looking, of course, like something from a contemporary design magazine as the furniture of that era is once again so popular) and then walk down an alley of vintage shops to a mock-up of shipbuilders at work. It's one of Copenhagen’s more unusual and enjoyable museums.
