The Nan Tien Temple is the largest Buddhist Temple in the Southern Hemisphere
The Nan Tien temple is the largest Buddhist temple in the southern hemisphere. It is located in Wollongong about an hour south of Sydney. Its position was specifically chosen because it is between the mountains and the sea, which is the interpretation of the Aboriginal word, Wollongong. This was an important consideration to ensure that all elements were in harmony.
