If you're a fan of just taking the car out for a drive, my pretty little home in Lancaster County provides an abundance of funky, windy little roads throughout the beautiful Amish corn fields. Life feels a little calmer and light whenever I take my motorcycle out for a little cruise through the fields, and the ever changing roads make for an interesting ride. Hungry? Pull over at any of the local Amish family-owned produce or bakery stands as you drive along. The families are busy, so leave your money on the honor system. Its honestly a joy in itself to feel someone trust you before you even visit. I swear it makes things taste better too.
A great ride is along 772, but pulling off onto any tiny, crooked back road will provide you a relaxing glimpse into the daily life of the Amish. Skip the tacky tourist shops, but don't skip the bakeries :)
