Wilridge Winery and Naches Heights Vineyard

While these are two completely separate business entities, they are inextricably connected through the land and the biodynamic farming practices for growing organic grapes and making exceptionally sustainable wines. The location has characteristics commonly found in Italy’s viticultural areas and the vines scratching out a productive living on these hillsides hail from 22 different vinifera wine grape varieties. Sitting atop this andesite lava flow in the midst of the basalt of the Cowiche Canyon Conservation Area, hiking and mountain biking trails bisect the sidewalls to provide access to the winery through a popular trail network that ultimately connects to the Pacific Crest Trail. There are two tasting rooms on the property connected by a beautiful picnic area. Wilridge Winery Italian and Spanish style reds stand out with the Nebbiolo and Tempranillo. Across the way, Naches Heights was pouring a refreshing Rosé and a Gewürztraminer that has lovely hints of Lychee and melon along with citrus and apple on the backside. The grounds provide a great venue for any type of celebration. Owners Phil Cline (http://nhvwines.com/) and Paul Beveridge (http://www.wilridgewinery.com/) are connected at the hip through the stewardship of the land they farm and the sheer joy they get from producing accessible, classic fine wines. Hike, bike or drive up to Naches Heights, you’ll love what the guys have done with the place.
