Willow City Loop
Hill Country In Bloom With Color
Boasting a population of only 75 residents, Willow City sits 12 miles to the northeast of Fredericksburg, and has become known for being the gateway to the famed Willow City Loop, a 20 mile stretch that twists and turns through the scenic Hill Country. While the road offers serene views year round, visitors flock to this area during the springtime for the expanses of wildflowers that stretch for miles on this narrow two-lane road. Especially popular with cyclists and bikers, The Willow City Loop has cattle guards, low water crossing areas, and farm gates, so you’ll definitely feel like you're off the beaten path—and truly in the Texas countryside.
