White Tower Museum
The White Tower, a 15th-century fortress and former prison, is the atmospheric setting for an interactive history of Thessaloníki. Layers of Roman, Byzantine and Balkan history are vividly brought to life through multimedia displays on each of the circular tower’s six floors. From maritime trade to migrations, pogroms and pilgrimages, this voyage through Thessaloníki’s past culminates in an exploration of the city’s multicultural cuisine. And the rooftop views across the city and sea are dazzling.
