Whale-Watching Along the Inside Passage
Some of Alaska’s most wonderful wildlife can be spotted from the ship, as whales, orcas and dolphins share the chilly northern waters. Humpbacks are the most common; they spend the summer months cruising the Inside Passage, spinning bubble nets from their blowholes in order to trap and gulp massive mouthfuls of herring. Resident pods of orcas also play and hunt along the coast, as do Pacific white-sided dolphins and Dall's porpoises.
