The William Vale's Rooftop Bar Offers Small Plates & Big Views
The unveiling of Westlight, the rooftop bar perched atop The William Vale’s 22nd floor has been as lauded for its magnificent 360-degree views of the city (observation binoculars certainly help take in the scenery) as it has for its food and drinks. Not that the kitchen should play second fiddle to the surroundings, small bites by chef Andrew Carmellini are adventurous and delectable. Expect adventurous pairings such as potato skins topped with caviar & yuzu hollandaise and twists on classics such as duck carnitas tacos and tuna tartare puffs. The cocktail list (by bartender Anne Robinson) offer classics and originals that delight. The fusion of contemporary and classic can be summed up by the aptly titled New Kind of Kick.
