It's the fastest game on grass! Gaelic hurling is an outdoor game played on a field (called a pitch) with a small ball (sliotar) and a long, wooden, curved stick (hurley). It is a native Irish sport and has made its way across the world - and now has made a landing in Seattle, WA.
A similar version of the game is played by women and called Camogie. The Seattle Gaels also has a co-ed Gaelic football team which practices at the same location.
The Seattle Gaels practice at Magnuson Park during the spring and summer (check out their calendar on the website) and anyone is welcome to drop in to watch or play.
