Edwin and Percy Warner Parks -- collectively known as the Warner Parks -- include more than 2,600 acres as the largest municipally administered parks in Tennessee. Located just nine miles from downtown Nashville, the parks include a Nature Center, hiking trails and equestrian center and horse trails. Percy Warner Park is the site of the Iroquois Steeplechase Steeplechase race each year. Also look for the popular Full Moon Pickin' Parties hosted by the Friends of Warner Parks and held between May and October. The casual, family-friendly fundraisers ($15 for adults) feature bluegrass music under the a full moon.
