International Art That Spans Millennia
The Walters Art Museum boasts more than 35,000 objects that date from 3000 B.C.E. to the early 20th century. Located in Baltimore’s historic Mount Vernon neighborhood, the museum features extensive collections of Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Byzantine, and Medieval art. In addition to paintings and sculptures, you’ll see mummies, jewelry, illuminated manuscripts, and weaponry and armor. Consider taking one of the museum’s volunteer-led tours to get better acquainted with the impressive works. Check the museum’s website for current exhibitions.
