Just two blocks northwest of Landsdowne station, this clandestine diner is not central but it is a fantastic local spot.
Park yourself on the picnic benches patio-side or in a seat in an atmosphere which is as simple as it gets.
Though there's some great brunch options, it's all about the oozing cheeseburger topped with bacon and carmelized onions; slathered in an orange mayonnaise, much tastier than it sounds. The burger needed a little salt but it was well cooked.
The fries have the perfect amount of saltiness.
Cash only. There's an ATM at the convenience store across the street. Worth the commute to check out the lovely Wallace Emerson district of The Junction. Walk off the calories on the Railpath over to the main area of the Junction from Dupont to Dundas West. A perfect afternoon in Toronto.
