Waldorf Astoria Bangkok

Why we love it: Bangkok gets the Waldorf Astoria treatment, complete with high-end restaurants, plush spa, and lavish guestrooms.

The Highlights:
- Classy and contemporary rooms designed by Andre Fu
- Three restaurants, a lounge, and two bars, each with unique concepts
- A massive and grand ballroom that fits 700 people

The Review:
Waldorf Astoria’s first South Asian property opened in a 60-story building in central Bangkok in 2018, bringing impressive design, top quality dining, and an intimate spa. Well-appointed rooms designed by Andre Fu feature floor-to-ceiling windows, gold accents and rich textiles, roomy marble bathrooms with separate baths and showers, and signature Waldorf Astoria beds. Relax in the spa, which offers traditional Thai massages in three treatment rooms, or go for a swim on the 16th floor outdoor infinity pool.

Floors 55 to 57 host three distinct dining outlets by famous design and concept firm AvroKO, each with panoramic views of the city. Bull & Bear specializes in grilled meats and seafood, and features a live raw bar and custom-made grill that allows for smoking, slow roasting, and grilling and The Loft is a glamorous, New York-inspired bar, inspired by the original 1935 Waldorf Astoria Bar Book with an Art Noueveau design and classic cocktails. The Champagne Bar on level 57 boasts an expansive list of Champagnes, hand-crafted cocktails and one of the best views of Bangkok. Other dining destinations include the Front Room, the Brasserie, and Peacock Alley, which is modeled after the original lounge in New York City.
