Waikiki Beach

Begin you morning with an early morning stroll along Kalakaua Avenue, heading south along the beach toward diamond head and Kapiolani Park. Stop for an amazing breakfast, great coffee or an acai or pitaya bowl at the Barefoot Beach Café fronting Queens Beach. Continue down the path, towards The Aquarium and Kaimana Beach. If you are feeling extra ambitious, you can continue the walk up Diamond Head road to the parking lot lookout (not the crater hike) but the spot where all of the tour buses stop for the amazing views. After your morning walk, continue back down and check out the Honolulu Zoo. After your stroll through the zoo, continue on to Dukes located at the Outrigger on the Beach hotel, for some great island dining. Enjoy some shopping in the wide variety of shops ranging in high luxury at the DFS Galleria to local crafters and mom and pop finds through out the many streets. Get a few hours of sunshine in at famous Waikiki beach, and perhaps take a surfing lesson or go out on a sailing catamaran for a short sail (there are several that go out daily.) Stop to enjoy a rainbow shave ice with a scoop of ice cream. Gather up your beach chairs and blanket because if you are lucky to be in town when it is happening you can take in a beach front move at Sunset on the beach (you can’t miss the huge movie screen) complete with local music, food and vendors, or hit up one of the many night farmers markets or hula shows. End it at the Top Of Waikiki for an amazing skyline view!
