Waiapu Anglican Cathedral
Constructed between 1955 and 1965—with three final stained-glass windows installed in 2005—this white cathedral is a wonderful example of modernist architecture. The windows are of particular note: They were designed by Beverley Shore-Bennett (who has more than 300 windows to her credit throughout New Zealand), in conjunction with glassmakers Paul Hutchins and Stephen Belanger-Taylor. Brochures for self-guided tours are available at the entrance.
