Peer into the Bronze AgeThis excellent museum encompasses Sweden’s largest display of 3,000 year old rock carvings in Tanum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The entire area contains some 600 rock carvings scattered all over the landscape. Visitors are welcome to either roam freely or take one of the guided tours ranging from 30 minutes up to four hours, while the museum has exhibitions, slideshows and children's rooms. Adjacent to the museum is a reconstructed Bronze Age farm consisting of two long houses and a workshop where craftsmanship methods from that time period are on display. The museum shop sells jewelry, textiles, ceramics, glass art, books and cool t-shirts, all with a Bronze Age theme.
