This past year my family decided to spend our holidays in Colorado. My sister-in-law found this amazing ranch called Vista Verde which is essentially a dude ranch. It was literally planes, trains, and automobiles to get there, but once we did, it was worth every bit of the pain. Every morning around 8:30 am the horse wranglers would open up the gates from the field where the horses had slept and let them out. This was so they could gather them in the main arena to get them saddled up for trail and sleigh rides for the day. My nephew and I would go out there every cold morning after breakfast and watch these beautiful creatures gallop there way down the snowy road. It was truly magical to watch. This picture was taken on one of my last days there. I can't express how neat it was to watch in person, against the backdrop of the majestic mountains of Colorado and the powdered snow falling how breathtaking nature and animals really are.
