Visit the Animals at the Pacific Marine Animal CenterLaguna Beach may be home to some 23,000 people, but it’s also home for thousands of seals, sea lions, otters, dolphins, and plenty of other ocean critters. And sometimes those little creatures need a little help. That’s where the Pacific Marine Animal Center comes in. The center helps rescue, rehabilitate, and release injured or sick animals. The recovery process involves plenty of love and care by veterinarians and staff, but it also involves a bit of tender loving care by visitors too. Guests are welcome to stop in and see the current patients during their recovery process. At the center, guests can learn about animals including their California sea lions, Northern elephant seals, Pacific harbor seals, or Northern fur seal patients. At the center, guests can take part in interactive displays, learn from the artifacts, or just watch the animals get back to health. The center is completely free for visitors, but donations are more than appreciated at this mostly volunteer-run organization. The center is open to the public for visitors every day from 10 am - 4 pm.
