Classic Cars and Savory Steaks
Having steak your way takes on a whole new meaning at the Vintage Grill and Car Museum 30 miles west of Fort Worth. Here, you can have your steak with a side of 11 vintage cars including a 1930 Buick, 1940 LaSalle, 1948 Studebaker sheriff’s patrol car, 1948 and ’64 Lincolns that belonged to President Lyndon B. Johnson, and an East German 1975 Trabant. The museum is housed in a vintage car 1930s car dealership building and admission is free with your meal. Along with farm-to-table southern favorites like chicken and waffles and ribs, Joslin does a mean chicken fried steak and an 8 oz. Angus Filet Mignon in Bourbon Butter Demi-glace. If you love steak or vintage cars or both, this should be on your Texas itinerary. If you still aren’t convinced, an extensive menu of American craft beers is another lure.
