Ice Skating in Montreal
If you visit Montreal over the winter holidays, I advise anyone who wants to keep his/her blood flowing to go ice skating. Not only will it keep your fingers from turning into popsicles, but also it will allow you to take in the beautiful view of the city. I was lucky enough to have spent my time in Montreal with a local who gave me a pair of his hockey skates. Bring plenty of socks to keep your toes warm (3 pairs over your feet to be exact) and some extra cash to get a hot toddy after your cheeks are numb. There are numerous locations you can go skating in the city—this picture was taken in the Vieux Port, but other locations such as on Mont-Royal are gorgeous as well.
