If you've ever wanted to know what it feels like to have a giant grasshopper crawl over your face, hold a scorpion in the palm of your hands, or wear a centipede mustache, this is your chance. If you're content simply watching the butterflies flutter by, you can do that too—you can do just about anything involving creepy crawlers at the Victoria Bug Zoo. For some reason, kids love this place.
Anyplace that prides itself on being "Buggerific!" is absolutely worth a look.

This mini zoo displays all sorts of live specimens from the fantastically weird world of insects: Visitors choose to touch or hold (or merely observe) a range of creatures such as a hairy tarantula, a delicate praying mantis or a glow-in-the-dark scorpion. The zoo's collection includes Canada's largest ant colony and over 40 different species of live bugs.
