Italian Eats in a Trendy Cavern
Follow the signs to this hidden spot on a stone-walled corner in Gozo’s capital city of Victoria for an Italian meal worthy of a “Mama Mia!” Multiple rooms with cave-like stone arches provide a charming, yet cheeky atmosphere where wooden tables are outfitted with placemats that read, “A good meal is all the more sweeter when enjoyed with good friends.” Overhead, smooth jazz plays "Easy like Sunday Morning” by Lionel Richie and “Please Mr. Postman” by the Marvelettes, while its seasonal menu features the likes of “Gnocchi Gozitana” made with local sheep cheese and Maltese sausage, as well as baked whole squid with tomato sauce—all for reasonable prices of between €8-€24.
