Welcome to Lunch at 13,000 FeetWelcome to lunch at 13,000 ft. I knew a lot of the Peruvian diet was meat centric, but had no trouble eating the rainbow and finding pescatarian meals in the land of the Incas.
With over 3,000 varieties of potatoes, different types were available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For lunch we delighted in the traditional Pachamanca meal, a layered variety of meat, vegetables and fish cooked underground between layers of hot stone.
