Cook Like a Local
Almost every Italian city has its local market, where piles of fresh produce wait for cooks to turn them into flavorful dishes. They are also excellent places for travelers to pick up delicious food souvenirs like olive oils, jams, and sun-dried tomatoes. Venice
is no exception, and the Rialto Market is located right in the heart of the city. Whatever is in season, you’ll be able to find it for sale here while wine bars in the area invite you to sample some of Italy’s most famous products. After you’re done shopping, you’ll head from the Rialto Bridge on a private boat to a villa where you’ll participate in a cooking class using the fine ingredients you bought at the market. You’ll also learn how to make two of Venice’s signature cocktails: the Spritz and the Bellini. It all adds up to a delicious day.
