The big one, the unmissable sight that must be seen, is a ship that was launched in 1628 and only sailed for roughly 10 minutes before sinking beneath the harbor waters where she rested for 33 years until being raised in 1961. The best way to experience the Vasa is to start by watching the documentary playing inside the museum about how she was rediscovered and salvaged. It also explains just what went wrong on that first fateful voyage and delves into who was to blame for the sinking.
