Vallee de la Vanille is an organic vanilla plantation (one of the few) on Tahaa that offers free tours so visitors can learn about the cultivation, drying, and production of the vanilla -- as well as sample the fresh fruits from the grounds (Tahaa is extremely lush and great for growing tropical fruits). Don’t leave without purchasing something from their shop, which has an array of vanilla-infused products like coffee beans, shampoo, lotion, volcano rocks, sea salt, cooking oil, rum, and more.
