Journées Européennes des métiers d’art$
The arts and artisana have not died out in France and, in fact, they are celebrated across the country every spring with thousands of events in workshops, factories, studios, schools and galleries. As the welcoming climate and warm sun has been drawing artists and artisans to the French Riviera for centuries, the region is particularly rich in activities with over 280 events throughout the weekend. Visitors can learn more about pottery in the town that inspired Picasso, Vallauris. Biot holds open studios with glass blowers, ceramicists, silversmiths, illustrators and painters with an art market for collectors (and souvenir hunters!) in the centreville.
