Universal CityWalk
Disney has Disney Springs and Universal has its CityWalk, and the latter offers more adult-oriented (although still totally family-appropriate) fun for when you've wrapped up another theme park day. CityWalk is a free-entry entertainment zone that connects Universal Studios Orlando and Islands of Adventure Theme Parks, and it's most happening after the parks close, when it turns into a veritable entertainment and dining district that often attracts more revelers than downtown Orlando itself. Everything surrounds a manmade lagoon, busy with boats carrying guests to and from the Universal hotels. There are casual cafes, a food court, and extravagant themed restaurants like the new Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen to choose from when it comes to dining. And CityWalk's night life offers a similar smorgasbord. Drink a hurricane at Pat O'Brien's, which looks just like the original New Orleans bar, sip a Red Stripe beer to the tune of reggae music at Bob Marley-A Tribute to Freedom or catch the big game at the NBC Sports Grill & Brew. Parking is free after 6PM, so that's when the crowds really pour in. And major concerts and festivals are scheduled here throughout the year, too, so keep an eye on the calendar.
