Tyholt Tower

4 Otto Nielsens veg

Built in 1985 as a transmitter for the Norwegian state broadcaster, Tyholt Tower (Tyholttårnet) today has a second purpose, too. Almost 80 meters (262 feet) up the 124-meter-high (407-foot) tower is Norway’s only revolving restaurant, where several hundred diners get unbeatable views of the city, nearby mountains and fjord while they eat. The popular restaurant takes one hour to make a full rotation. A true landmark of Trondheim, the tower is easy to spot from the fjord.
