Victoria's Great Ocean Road is one of the world's most spectacular drives, and you can experience the same awe-inspiring scenery on your own two feet. This four-day, three-night walk (operating September-May) takes in a range of landscapes within Great Otway National Park and Port Campbell National Park, from cool-climate rainforest to coastal clifftops, culminating in the thrilling sight of the Twelve Apostles themselves, a series of towering rock columns rising from the ocean. The trail delivers upclose encounters with Australian wildlife, from fur seals to wallabies and koalas, along with the tales of the many shipwrecks for which this wild coast is famous. For another vantage point, you can tack on a scenic helicopter flight over the Twelve Apostles.
