Family friendly hiking

A short day’s travel from New York and Boston, the Catskill Mountains were America’s first vacationland.

The large vistas and rolling hills attracted the likes of Mark Twain and the painters of the Hudson River School throughout the 19th century.

Today, hiking, skiing, antiquing and eating are the order of the day - all well brought together in the hamlet of Tannersville, and just up the road behind Scribners is the start of a great 50 minutes hike/loop - it hooks into the North/South trail, so add it into a great long hike or a quick out/back w/ the family.
