Tutto Bene Italian Restaurant

501 N Randolph St, Arlington, VA 22203, USA

Since 1988, this family-owned Ballston neighborhood restaurant has offered great old-fashioned Northern Italian Cuisine that includes very nice pizzas and fresh pastas. However, come Saturdays and Sundays, you’ll most likely see an overwhelmingly Bolivian clientele. Originally from South America, the chef serves up the so-called “secret Bolivian menu.” Salteñas de pollo and Salteñas de carne, turnovers stuffed with chicken, beef, green peas, potatoes, egg, and raisins, as well as Sopa de Mani (peanut soup), are staples. For the carnivores, feast on my favorite, the Parrillada Para for two consisting of two spicy Argentine sausage links, chicken breast, two beef short ribs, and a 10-oz. flank steak grilled to perfection (mine even came with grilled intestines).
