17200 Captiva Drive
Turner BeachIt seems there's a sunset beach at every turn in Fort Myers and Sanibel, but at Turner Beach the daily spectacle is particularly beautiful thanks to its location on the southwestern tip of Captiva Island. It's the first beach you come to after crossing the bridge from Sanibel to Captiva and it's a depositing point for an abundance of seashells, making it one of the most popular beaches for shelling. To find bigger shells, you'll want to visit at low tide and wade into the water, then feel around with your feet. The beach and rock jetty here are popular fishing spots, and if you want to dip into the water to refresh, just move a bit farther down the beach to an area that is perfect for swimming.
