Upon arriving at Tumble Downs, I was immediately struck by the view from the restaurant's front porch. I quickly ordered the special (kingclip, a popular fish in South Africa) and decided to take a walk around the property as I waited for my meal. It was autumn and the property was dotted with crisp orange and gold leaves. With it's wooden children's playground and ample space to move around, I realized this would be a great place to enjoy a lunch or dinner with the whole family. To my surprise, I came across a rather large pot-bellied pig ambling around the lawn. I couldn't help but laugh as I watched Tumble Downs owner, Werner, demonstrate how much the pig liked having his belly rubbed. Lunch was ready and I returned to the front porch to dine and bask in the warm afternoon sunlight.
