Trepuco Talayot
The original inhabitants of Minorca, the Talayotic people, left behind large stacked-stone monoliths called
talayots. Trepuco is one of the largest of these ancient Talayotic sites, though the ruins that remain are only a small part of the original settlement. As you explore you'll see sections of an outer wall, two square towers, two
talayots and the enclosure for a Stonehenge-like monument called a
taula. Utensils and other artifacts found in the remnants of ancient homes are now on display in the Museum of Minorca.
