Trapiche Eliezer Levy
Less than a 10-minute walk from the Fortaleza de São José de Macapá, the Trapiche Eliezer Levy is a pier that was constructed in the 1930s and extends into the Amazon. In addition to coming to admire the mighty river and enjoy a cool stroll along the waterfront, locals come to the area to dine at nearby restaurants or cool off at one of its ice cream shops, like the popular Qsabor (R. São José, 1676). While the chocolate, coconut and vanilla are always excellent, be adventurous and opt for one of the specials using fruits (açai, bacury, sova) and nuts from the Amazon.
