Kratovo is one of many under-represented travel spots of Macedonia. The city's been important economical center of the area since the Roman times, important for the mines in it's vicinity.
When you visit Kratovo, you should visit the town museum, the entrance into Simikeva Str. and The Clock Tower, as well as check out the rest of the local medieval guard towers. These towers were built by the medieval rulers of the area. There is also a network of tunnels beneath the city that were used by local residents for food supplies and movement during sieges. Macedonia Experience can help you with guidance in these truly "off-the-beaten" track areas of Kratovo.
Walking in the old town centre and along the medieval bridges (such as Rada`s Bridge), visiting an old village house and some of the town's representative churches are also intriguing experiences while in Kratovo.
