Torvehallerne
A market has been held at Israels Plads since 1889, but it was only in 2011 that two permanent food halls were completed and opened to the public. The pair of glass buildings house more than 100 stalls, offering everything from traditional Danish dishes to paleo food to go. It’s lovely to take a cup of tea at Tante T, perhaps with a slice of cake, or you may want to stock up on food and wine to take away. As you leave the market, pick up a bouquet from one of the amazing flower sellers surrounding the halls. Even if you’re not hungry, this bustling place is a sight worth seeing.
