Enjoy a Mississippi River Sunset
The river is the city's greatest asset, but surprisingly, Memphis doesn't have many vantage points to truly enjoy the Mississippi. Tom Lee Park, at the foot of Beale Street, is one of the few spots. The long swath of open space adjacent to the river is home to many events and festivals, the biggest being the month-long Memphis in May International Festival.

Whether there is an event going on or not, take some time to get down to the river at sunset and watch the sun dip below the Arkansas treeline across the water.
