Zurich has witnessed a proliferation of new Asian restaurants in the last few years, and an uptick of izakaya even more recently. But few are as tasty as this under-the-radar Japanese kiosk in Zurich’s Viaduktmark, which has the best (and best priced) udon in town. It’s toothsome udon noodles and broth heavy on bonito and nori, give it the rich, deep unmistakable Japanese flavor that the city’s other Japanese ramen joints and izakaya lack. There’s also handmade sushi and sashimi, edemame, soba noodles, and a shop selling a variety of sake and even matcha Kit-Kats for homesick Japanphiles.
