Titanic Experience Cobh
In 1912, the ill-fated Titanic’s last port of call was the town of Cobh, then known as Queenstown, in Cork Harbour. The Titanic Experience is housed in the original White Star Line ticket office, and you’ll receive a boarding card with the name and details of a real passenger—123 passengers bound for New York boarded the ship at Cobh. A 30-minute guided tour explores life aboard the ship and what happened when the iceberg was struck; you’ll then have free time to browse the exhibition area. One of the most poignant parts of the visit is at the end, when you’ll find out whether the name you have been given was one of the passengers who survived or not.
