As well as classic cocktails, this solid neighborhood bar in Sherman Oaks boasts high quality, sustainable oysters, which you can sample all night on Oyster Mondays from 5 to 10:30 p.m. Don’t miss the oyster shooter flights (also available during social hour from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday): The Red Devil has a heavy splash of vodka while the Sunset is laced with tequila. After all the shucking and slurping at the bar you can grab a table to dine on some of new executive chef Marc Johnston's creations. Try swordfish with poblano peppers in a red wine sauce, scallops with prosciutto and preserved lemon, or, for a modern surf and turf, order the flat iron steak with bone marrow and a shared plate of sea urchin toast with avocado mousse. After dinner, head upstairs to the Tunnel Bar, a semi-private, speakeasy-style "hidden" lounge, to continue the party.
