The Thai Buddhist Tiger Cave Temple is an arduous climb up 1,237 steps, and worth every one. Bring water and a snack as there is nothing up and down the mountain. Make sure to stop in the cave before the mountain to read up on how the temple got it’s “tiger” nomer. Enjoy breathtaking views of Thai countryside while you climb. Be rewarded at the top by a big golden Buddha and a light chat with orange clad monks, but know that the real reward is not the accomplishment of the climb, but the peace to be found along the journey.
