A Stash of Great Fashion Finds
Threadbare & Squirrel has grown from its little nook up a poky staircase along Haji Lane into a much bigger store, now housed in a 2-story shop in next-door Bali Lane. Correspondingly, it now curates some of the hipper designer local and Asian brands, and it has become one of my "must-visits" when I hit the area.

The range is geared toward ladies who like more indie and edgy clothes. Because they're designer labels they also tend to be a little pricier—but many of these pieces make quite a statement, so they're worth investing in. I love the wooden-framed glasses, and in particular Wil.LiaM Atelier and Max Tan.

On level 2 there is a bar/cafe area that works via a tipping system, so you can sit back and chillax if you're tired of shopping. The owners were quite friendly when we met them and shared some of their thoughts about the brands they curated.
