Threadbare & Squirrel has grown from its little nook up a poky staircase along Haji Lane into a much bigger store. Correspondingly, it now curates some of the hipper designer local and Asian brands, and it has become one of my "must-visits" when I hit the area. The range is geared toward ladies who like more indie and edgy clothes. Because they're designer labels they also tend to be a little pricier—but many of these pieces make quite a statement, so they're worth investing in. I love the wooden-framed glasses, and in particular Wil.LiaM Atelier and Max Tan. The owners were quite friendly when we met them and shared some of their thoughts about the brands they curated.
