Many visitors to Naples are familiar with the uber-popular shopping and dining district in town known as 5th Avenue South. And while it deserves its reputation for many excellent shops and restaurants, go just 7 blocks south of 5th to the Third Street South district for a more relaxed vibe, and some great new eateries.
Third Street South is home to one of Naples' best farmers markets - the Saturday morning market - a real treat for visitors and a staple for locals. The area covers a few streets south of Broad Avenue, and has the same fine shops, galleries, and great restaurants as it's busier neighbor on 5th. But it's a little less crowded here and a little more hip (though that may soon change with it's growing popularity).
Third Street South is also just 2 blocks from the famous Naples Pier, which makes for a full weekend of checking off the must-see spots on your Naples list, all within a few blocks of the beach!
