Sip Homegrown Wine in The Tuamotu Atolls
French influences turn up throughout The Islands of Tahiti, particularly in the refined flavors and elegant presentations of its cuisine. There’s even a working winery in the area, so visitors can go completely “local” in their meals, pairing fresh fish and vegetables with homegrown vintages. Set on a small motu off Rangiroa in the Tuamotu Atolls, Vin de Tahiti uses techniques adapted to Polynesian coral-based soil to grow, harvest, and produce three types of white wine (which they describe as “dry,” “coral,” and “soft”), as well as a rose. Visit to sample their creations—and experience the enchanting scene of vineyards surrounded by coconut trees and tropical plants.
